Today I want to share a very simple and easy-to-make recipe for DIY Bath Salt with rose petals powder. 100% natural, aromatic, and relaxing product for beautiful me-time moments and an excellent gift for yourself or your loved ones.
DIY BATH SALT
Actually, you can make your own bath salt with whatever ingredients you have at hand:
- 1 part of sea salt
- 1/2 part of Epsom salt
- 1 tbsp of plant powder (orange powder, spirulina powder, rose petals powder, iris powder, apple powder… etc.!)
- 1 tbsp of starch (starch prevents clumping, and your salt stays powdery)
- 20-30 drops of essential oils of choice
Epsom salt is an excellent source of magnesium, and it is a good idea to add it to your DIY bath products. It supports your body and helps fight stress, and it really helps to fight insomnia as well.
DIY ROSE COCOON BATH SALT
I use rose petals powder to make this salt – it gives my salt a floral aroma note and provides this beautiful pink color (it also colors the water in the bathtub).
I also use benzoin absolute, which gives my salt warming and cooling vanilla notes, but you can choose whatever oils you like.
I share the recipe and show how to make this beautiful salt step by step in the short video:
ESSENTIAL OILS COMBOS:
Here I want to share with you some of my favorite essential oils combos, which you can use to make your own bath salts:
- 20 drops of lavender + 10 drops of sweet orange essential oils (nice, sunny, and anti-stress combination, an excellent choice for “good night” bath salts)
- 10 drops of geranium, 10 drops of ylang-ylang, 10 drops of grapefruit essential oils (fresh floral aroma that goes very well with rose petals powder notes)
- 15 drops of palmarosa, 5 drops of lemon, 5 drops of geranium (lovely rose scent, very relaxing and cocooning)
